Enge railway tunnel SBB

Automatic surveillance

The Seestrasse above the Enge train tunnel is to be repaired. There is a risk that the tunnel could be affected by the roadworks along the 200 metre stretch.

Gruner was commissioned to carry out tunnel monitoring during the almost two years of construction work. The aim of the monitoring is to permanently observe behaviour in order to be able to react as quickly as possible to changes and abnormalities. Measures to protect the tunnel are then introduced on the basis of gradually defined limit values.

Our services include recording the vibration in two measurement cross-sections and the spatial displacement in four measurement cross-sections. This data is automatically analysed and displayed on a password-protected website. In addition, we alerted the project manager via SMS or e-mail in the event of an irregularity.
