Schulthess Clinic, Zurich

The Schulthess clinic in Zurich is one of the leading orthopedic clinics in Europe with around 1100 employees. As a specialised orthopedic clinic, it concentrates on sophisticated medical treatment of the musculoskeletal system. The clinic specialises in surgical orthopedics, spinal neurosurgery, neurology, rheumatology, manual medicine and sports medicine. The primary concern of the Schulthess clinic is to relieve patients of their pain and restore their mobility as quickly as possible.

It is therefore no coincidence that fire protection is an existential corporate objective, with fire protection, including fire safety measures, being an active, ongoing task.

Gruner's services in this ongoing project include the creation of a fire incident management matrix and a basic script that the clinic can use as a guide. In addition, integral and periodic tests are carried out in order to regularly monitor the current status of the facilities. Gruner also provides zoning plans as well as plans of the fire-controlled objects. These objects include the following:
