ZUR3 - Data Centre Campus, Zürich

fire protection consulting and concept

The ZUR3 data centre is a state-of-the-art, high-performance data centre that has been specially developed to meet the increasing demands for data storage and processing. With a total area of approx. 11,400 m² and an IT load density of 24 MW, it offers considerable capacity for its 24 customer rooms.

The project is divided into two main building sections: the data centre and the office building & delivery. The data centre itself is spread over six levels, ranging from the basement to the two roof levels. The customer rooms are located on the ground, first and first floors and offer sufficient space and flexibility for various IT requirements.

A particular challenge and strength of this project is the high-performance power and cooling infrastructure. This infrastructure enables an average load density of up to 2.1 kW/m² in the customer rooms, with the ability to reach up to 3 kW/m² in individual rooms. This ensures a high degree of flexibility so that the output can be optimally adapted to the customer's specific requirements while maintaining the building average.

Our services in this project include a comprehensive fire protection concept that covers all necessary measures for the safety of the building and its users. This includes fire protection consulting, quality assurance and the development of a fire control concept and a fire control matrix. Integral tests ensure that all systems function smoothly and are optimally harmonised in the event of an emergency. This holistic safety concept is essential in order to meet the high standards of a data centre and ensure safe operation.
