In 1973, the Augarten development with 1000 residential units in the form of single-family and terraced houses as well as some apartment buildings was built in Rheinfelden. The two parking halls east and west with a total of 880 parking spaces, which are located under a part of the area, belong to this complex.
As a basis for the earthquake protection measures, a condition analysis of the two parking halls was commissioned, which was to take into account both the structural framework and the existing technical installations. The analysis showed that in addition to the static strengthening, a renovation of the sewer pipes under the floor slab was necessary.
The aim of the project was the renovation of the two parking halls combined with an increase of the structural safety as well as static measures on the supporting structure in order to minimize the risk of punching through ceilings and foundations. In addition to the seismic retrofit, fire protection retrofitting was also carried out. Parallel to this, the sewerage pipes were renovated.
Our services within the scope of the project included overall management as total contractor as well as site management during the work. We also took care of safety on the construction site. We were also responsible for the architectural, structural and building services planning as well as fire protection.
