The planned Grosshof Bridge crosses the highway at Luzernerstrasse in Kriens and is part of the overall Lucerne Bypass project. The new road bridge spans the settlement area (city of Kriens, highway, and the river) and disappears as a tunnel in the Sonnenberg. In order to meet the needs of noise protection for all residents, part of the bridge is designed as a completely closed tunnel bridge. The idea of the transparent slots is to make the dynamics visually perceptible from the city level and the movements of the traffic flow visible. The structural system of the bridge is a spatial folding structure.
