The project involves the construction of a new hall complex consisting of three parts. An extension of Hall 1 towards Messeplatz, a new building in place of the previous Hall 3 and the connection of the two hall complexes above Messeplatz (City Lounge). The halls consist of a basement, a ground floor and two upper floors. The Messeplatz is bridged by a 2-storey truss construction, so that the dimensions of the entire complex are approx. 220 x 90 x 32 m (LxWxH). In addition to the new exhibition areas (approx. 40,000 m2), the mixed use includes a multifunctional event hall (approx. 3,500 m2), restaurants, offices and technical rooms. The exhibition halls will be connected underground by a tunnel. The main ceilings will be designed as reinforced concrete grid ceilings with filigree slabs above and over-concrete on a primary steel girder structure.
