Basel Zoo, Logistics Center

The logistics center, the heart of the zoological garden, has been modernized according to the latest findings from the company and in compliance with the valid regulations. The conversion and new construction was carried out in various stages during ongoing operations. The supply of the animals had to be guaranteed during the entire construction period.

The following areas of use were affected by the construction measures:
- Butcher's shop with cold rooms
- Feed and material magazines
- veterinary practice
- locksmith, truck, carpenter and painter workshops
- Conveyor systems
- Checkrooms with wet cells
- Office and recreation rooms with kitchens
- Infrastructure (heating, ventilation, plumbing, electricity)
- Environmental work
