The village center of Worb is heavily congested with an average daily traffic volume of 14,000 vehicles.
With the traffic rehabilitation concept, the through traffic is to be routed through the periphery of Worb.
The tunnel Mülacher is 93 m long and will be built in open cut. The longitudinal gradient at the south portal is 7.0%, at the north portal 4.75% and the two gradients are rounded off with a Rv 1200 m trough. Adjacent to the tunnel are the two south and north portal cuts.
