Surface redesign Schmiedengasse Oberwil

Oberwil's Schmiedengasse was getting on in years, which prompted the municipality to redesign it. In addition to the water pipe, which was in urgent need of rehabilitation, this also concerned the traffic safety concept and the visual adaptation of the district street to the village center. In 2018, Gruner, as a long-standing municipal engineering firm, took over the planning, tendering and construction management of the modernization project. A particular challenge in this context was the drainage of the street, which had to be in conformity with the preservation order, as well as the visually appealing design of the street and its many junctions. With an ingenious combination of asphalt and paving stones, we succeeded in highlighting the intersection areas and increasing traffic safety.
