Renewal of two sets of points at Estavayer-le-Lac station

During the summer of 2024, two sets of points and a half-set of points were renewed at Estavayer-le-Lac station. Gruner SA was involved in this project as a specialised civil engineering agent in charge of monitoring the work.

The following civil engineering works were carried out over two months (July-August 2024), including 3 weekends of one-off operations:

• Construction of underground networks, including the removal and installation of cable ducts over approx. 300 ml, the installation of approx. 80 ml of PE pipes parallel to the track and the installation of two cable chambers.
• Creation of railway sleepers and installation of BaFix-type sleeper retaining device over approx. 100 ml
• Installation of a new drainage system for railway water over approx. 180 ml
• Installation of a water drainage pipe under the railway, approx. 15 ml long
• Laying of a water drainage pipe outside the railway line over approx. 40 metres
• Construction of a stone bank on a watercourse as a final outlet for the drainage of water from the railway line.
• Renovation of the PONTISTRAIL level crossing at Estavayer-le-Lac station
• Development of the eastern end of the platform at Estavayer-le-Lac station and construction of an access ramp
