Technical Office Manager (on-site Tajikistan)
Activities & Responsibilities
The On-Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to Gruner Stucky's design and supervision services for a major rockfill dam project, working directly with an EPC contractor. The role requires close coordination with the Project Director and various teams within Gruner Stucky.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities on-site related to Gruner Stucky’s design and supervision for the rockfill dam project.Report to the Project Director of Gruner Stucky.
- Lead and manage the on-site technical team, ensuring execution adheres to Gruner Stucky's design and specifications.
- Act as a liaison with the Head Office (HO) design team to coordinate execution designs and updated designs as needed.
- Take technical responsibility for the performance of the Gruner Stucky Site team.
- Manage administrative responsibilities for the site team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the EPC contractor’s site team, ensuring smooth coordination of technical solutions with the Owners Engineer.
- Manage and implement necessary adjustments due to site conditions, including availability of construction materials and changing geological conditions.
- Ensure the timely provision of necessary technical site physical data to the Head Office's design team leaders.
- Assist the EPC contractor with commercial and technical correspondence with the Owners Engineer.
- Represent Gruner Stucky during meetings with the Employer, Owners Engineer, and other Panels of Experts, providing technical support as needed.
- Oversee and manage weekly reporting to the Head Office.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Civil Engineering degree
- 20 years of experience
- Proven experience in supervising major infrastructure projects, especially in dam construction.
- Strong technical leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities in the English language.
- Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and solve complex technical challenges.
