Conversion / extension, Rüti (ZH)

The object protection expertise became necessary due to the reconstruction and the addition of a floor to an existing building in Rüti (ZH). According to the hazard map, local flow depths of up to 2 m can occur at the protection target of a 300-year flood. The measures required and relevant for the conversion consisted of using water- and pressure-resistant doors for all entrances and planning the position of the windows higher. Gruner Böhringer prepared the Jona hazard map, in which the community of Rüti (ZH) was also assessed with regard to natural hazards.
