With the Helvetia Campus Basel project, a new organizational figure is being realized as the headquarters of Helvetia: A high-profile corporate address will be developed on the southern parcel, while residential space will be concentrated on the northern parcel in the future. The two parts are connected by the visual opening to the respective green spaces.
The focus is on the construction of a new eleven-story office building (VB4), which as a twin building will complement the existing building (VB1) from the 1950s. In addition, an auditorium will be realized in an intermediate building, which will both connect the two twin buildings and be the new, spacious main entrance to the campus site.
The existing office tower will be renovated. The same applies to the neighboring administration building (VB2) on Engelgasse. This will be raised by one storey.
Around 350 new office workplaces will be created. The open structure is intended to create an inspiring exchange and invigorating dialog. Thus, a public rooftop café will be created on the top floor of the office tower, and the auditorium will be able to host internal and external events with up to 290 guests.
