Airport access with accompanying measures, Belp

With the construction of the new access road, the main access road to the industrial zones and Bern-Belp Airport, which previously ran through a residential area, will now be routed outside the settlement area.

The new access road leads from Lindenkreisel via Aemmenmattstrasse to the Hühnerhubel industrial area. The existing connecting roads were each connected to the new access road by a traffic circle, and the old Stockmatt bridge will be replaced by a bridge with sidewalks on both sides. In connection with the access road, the adjacent residential quarters were protected from the emissions of the new road by noise protection measures. Together with the implementation of the accompanying measures, the existing road cross-section on Neumattstrasse was adapted and redesigned in favor of a wider sidewalk.

In addition, the road was rehabilitated due to its poor structural condition. Together with the road construction projects, a separation system was introduced for the settlement drainage, for which a new rainwater drainage pipe was constructed with a discharge into the Gürbe. In addition, the utility lines in need of rehabilitation (water / electricity / communication) were replaced in the entire project perimeter.
