Gruner is currently implementing the first legal reorganization since Gruner AG was founded over 50 years ago. The aim is to simplify the structure and internal cooperation in order to be able to develop faster and more comprehensive customer solutions.

In 1970, Gruner, which was already over 100 years old at the time, was registered as a stock corporation. After the strong organic and external growth over the last 50 years, we are currently and during the next months carrying out the first company-wide legal reorganization. The goals are to streamline structures, simplify internal cooperation and increase transparency. Ultimately, a clear organization should help us to offer more comprehensive and better services together, to present a unified front to customers and partners, and thus to strengthen Gruner in the market.

The entire legal reorganization will last until mid-2023. In a first step, the previous legal companies Gruner General Planning AG, Gruner Region Bern AG, Gruner Wepf AG, St. Gallen, and Gruner Wepf AG, Zurich, were merged into Gruner Schweiz AG in the current year 2022. Gruner Lüem AG and Gruner Gruneko AG were simultaneously merged into Gruner AG.

The Stucky group of companies has been part of Gruner since 2013. Since January 1st, 2022, Gruner and Stucky have been operating under the uniform Gruner brand. As a result, the name of Stucky Ltd., which operates mainly in western Switzerland and internationally in hydropower and energy transmission, changed to Gruner Stucky Ltd. Stucky Balkans d.o.o is now called Gruner Balkans d.o.o and Stucky Caucasus Ltd. is called Gruner Stucky Caucasus Ltd. in the future.

These steps have no impact on the direct customer service and our partners, only the company names will change. The regional proximity with the known locations and the accustomed service will remain unchanged. The merger of the legal companies is the consequence of our already practiced cross-location activities and cooperation.
