Mabuhay! Gruner opens new branch office in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new branch office in the Philippines. With the successful registration and the Business License for 'Gruner Stucky Ltd. – Philippine Branch', Gruner moved into the new office space at the Zuellig Building in Makati City, Metro Manila.

'This move strengthens our presence in this important market for renewable energies, where we are currently working on five Pumped Storage Hydropower projects in various stages of development' says Martin Bieri, Head of Major Projects Department in the Hydropower and Dams International business unit and Project Manager for Southeast Asia.

The new branch office will be temporarily managed by Stefan Mützenberg. Together with our first employee, Victor Ones Palar, he will support the business development in the Philippines and the ongoing projects. 'The local presence in this region, which is far away from our headquarters in Switzerland, is crucial to ensure proximity to our clients and ongoing projects' says Brendan Quigley, head of the Hydropower and Dams International Business Unit.

The office is already well occupied by the experts for the design review of the Wawa Pumped Storage Project, who were in the Philippines for a two week workshop in January 2025.
