Activities & Responsibilities

The Structural Engineer in the hydroelectric and dam sector will be responsible for the design, dimensioning, and integration of mechanical and electrical equipment requirements into civil structures, particularly in the hydroelectric and dam sectors. The role includes participation in design, tender preparation, project management, and site monitoring. The position requires involvement in both domestic and international projects. This position requires involvement in both domestic and international projects and calls for a self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of hydroelectric and dam engineering, who is ready to travel and contribute to projects on both national and international scale.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design and dimensioning of civil engineering works within the hydroelectric and dam sectors.
  • Monitor and oversee project, execution plans and methodologies to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender and submission dossiers for engineering services related to hydroelectric engineering.
  • Willingness to travel for short missions abroad, including site visits and meetings.

Requirements profile

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (M.Eng or MSc. or PhD is an asset).
  • At least 8 years of proven experience in dam engineering, with a strong portfolio of successful local and international projects.
  • Extensive experience in the conception, design, and construction follow-up of dams.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to ensure close communication.
  • Good working knowledge in English is required.
  • Proficiency in French or Italian is an asset.
