Senior Dam Engineer
Activities & Responsibilities
- Lead design activities in dam engineering, covering both embankment and concrete dams, from early-stage conceptual phases to construction projects.
- Coordinate and perform dam safety assessment studies, with a particular focus on structural and stability analyses.
- Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and modeling teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Demonstrate readiness and motivation to travel internationally for short- to mid-term assignments.
Requirements profile
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering. PhD is an asset.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in dam engineering, with a strong track record of success in local and international projects.
- Extensive experience in the conception, design, and construction follow-up of dams.
- Proficiency in static and dynamic analysis of embankment and concrete dams.
- In-depth knowledge of international standards and guidelines for dam design, such as FOEN, ICOLD, USBR, and others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in French or German is highly desirable.
