Activities & Responsibilities

Gruner Stucky, to support the development and the growth of the Italian Department is hiring new motivated engineers, that will be included in a dynamic and multidisciplinary Company already working on some of the most important and challenge international civil projects.

Your tasks and responsabilities:

  • Preparation of advanced 2D/3D numerical models, with a special focus on geotechnics, tunnels, and underground structures for dams and hydropower facilities, from early-stage design to construction.
  • Preparation of design reports.
  • Preparation of drafting instructions and supervision of draftsmen/modelers for the finalization of design drawings.
  • Preparation of technical specifications for the execution of works.
  • Monitoring of procedures implemented by the Contractor(s) for Quality Assurance/Quality Control and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.

Requirements profile

  • MSc in Civil Engineering (PhD in Geotechnics is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Italian and international standards and guidelines for geotechnical design.
  • Extensive experience in advanced numerical modelling for geotechnical tasks. Proficiency in Finite Element/Finite Difference software such as RS2, FLAC, PLAXIS, or similar is required.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office is required; active knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory; French is a plus.
  • Ability and motivation to travel worldwide.
